That is the whole basis on which every listing on this site is offered. It is a condition of sale, not a caution attached to one, and it is not subject to waiver by us or by you.

What research use only means here

Every compound listed is supplied and described as an input to laboratory work — material a researcher uses at the bench. It is not a medicine, not a supplement, not a food, not a cosmetic, and not anything intended to go into or onto a person or an animal.

Nothing here is supplied for clinical use, for veterinary use, or for use in or on a living person or animal in any setting. There is no exception for personal use, for research on oneself, or for “informational” purchase.

What you confirm before entering

The catalogue and every other visitor-facing page are covered by an overlay you cannot click through or skip until you confirm both of the statements below. The operator back office is a separate, sign-in-gated area for an authorised operator only and does not ask for this attestation — it is not part of what a research-use visitor sees. The overlay is a browser-side control, not a way of withholding the page itself: the underlying markup is present in what any reader receives — including a request made without running JavaScript — from the first moment, it is simply not visible or reachable until you confirm. Confirming writes one version-stamped marker to your own browser's storage, so a return visit is not asked again — that marker does not record which of the two statements you accepted, and it does not record the exact wording. A record naming exactly which words you agreed to is written on our side separately, and at a different moment: placing an order writes a per-order consent record on our server, which resolves the clause wording from its own copy — never from what the browser sends — and stores it against that order.

• Age and legality. “I am 21 years of age or older, and I am legally permitted to purchase research chemicals in my jurisdiction.”
• Researcher and purpose. “I am a qualified researcher and I am purchasing these products solely for in-vitro laboratory research. I will not use, resell, repackage or represent them for use in or on a person or an animal.”

Confirming those statements is what you are agreeing to. If either of them is not true of you, this catalogue is not for you and nothing here is offered to you.

What Halden Labs does not supply

Not on any page, not by any channel, and not on request. There is no version of these questions we will answer:

• What a compound does — any effect, benefit, outcome or result, in a person or an animal, however hedged and whoever said it first.
• How much to use, how often, for how long, or in what sequence.
• How to prepare, reconstitute or administer anything, or what to administer it with.
• Any protocol, schedule, cycle, stack, comparison between compounds or comparison with a medicine or supplement.
• Whether anything here is suitable, tolerable or safe for a person or an animal.

If that is what you are looking for, this is not the right supplier, and asking a different way will not produce a different answer.

What is on a product page

Identity and composition only: what the material is, what it is made of, the physical form it is supplied in, and the presentations it comes in. Chemical identifiers appear where they have been checked against a source and are left off the page where they have not. Where a source states them, a page also carries alternative names the compound is registered or sold under and the storage condition for the sealed vial as supplied — each printed only where a cited source states it. Nothing on a product page describes an effect.

Certificates of analysis

A certificate of analysis is the document tying a claim about identity or purity to one specific batch, so the claim can be checked against the material in front of you rather than against a general statement on a website.

None is published on this site. No material has been produced or received under a Halden lot number, so no such document exists to show. We would rather have an empty section than an evidence page with nothing behind it.

This labelling is not a permission

Research-use-only framing describes how a material is supplied and described. It does not make a compound lawful for you to buy, hold or use where you are — that is your responsibility, and it is what you confirm on entry. It also does not substitute for the legal review each listing must pass on our side before it could ever be sold: no listing on this site has passed it, and none is cleared for sale.

Handling, storage and disposal are the buyer's responsibility under their own laboratory's procedures.
